You know what really sucks?
When you have a GravityForms form on a page… but the form is placed waaaaayyyyy down the page and someone fills it out… BOOM! WTF just happened?
The problem is that if you just have a confirmation message displaying upon form submission the page reloads and sends the user back to the top of the page where they can’t see the form anymore.
That confuses people!
User: Did I submit the form? Did it go through? Did I complete all the required fields?
It’s a first-world problem, I know… but this is really annoying!
The good news is that there is a fix for this, and it’s called…
GForm Confirmation Anchor
There is a little snippet you can use to make GravityForms bookmark down to the form upon submission = problem solved.
What you want to do is copy the line below:
add_filter( ‘gform_confirmation_anchor’, ‘your_function_name’ );
and paste that into your FUNCTIONS.PHP file.
If you are using Genesis + Dynamik Website Builder go to Genesis > Dynamik Custom > Functions and paste it there (make sure you keep the opening php tag).
If you need to get fancier with this method (targeting specific forms OR disabling for specific forms) go to this link and checkout the parameters you can use.
