How To Get Really Good At Web Design

Take the next 5 minutes and watch this video.

Please.

After watching it I was inspired to tell you guys a little bit more of our story.

If you would have asked me 15 years ago if I would be in a position where I would be helping web designers all over the world improve their skills and their business, I’d tell you that you were crazy.

At the time, I wasn’t that good at creating websites myself.

I wasn’t making much money either.

I actually worked at a grocery store as a security guard.

Seriously.

While not working at my crappy job I was trying to make websites for friends and family.

This was back in the day where Microsoft Frontpage 2000, PhotoImpact and FTP were the only tools I had.

This was way before WordPress.

This was old-school web design.

I tried really hard to make nice websites, but I struggled.

But I also didn’t give up.

I persisted.

I kept trying.

I changed my approach many times.

Things didn’t always work out.

To be honest with you, most of the time things didn’t.

But I didn’t stop.

I never thought I was a loser, I just felt like I hadn’t found the right formula yet.

I always believed (and still do) that things will work out and be amazing for me.

See, many times I’d stay up until 2am for weeks trying to figure out a solution to a problem, only to realize that the world didn’t need that solution.

It sucked.

But I persisted.

I never stopped.

After all that trying, all that “failing”, something unexpected happened to me.

I become really good at web design.

And I started to make money.

I was so good, I was able to work from home.

Which was awesome.

But I was doing it alone.

I then taught Amy how to make websites too.

Now we were able to work from home together.

That was amazing.

We became so good working together, that we moved to Florida.

There are so many times now that we stop and say “I love my life”!

That might sound cheesy, but it’s true.

We actually say that to each other… and mean it.

We love our life so much that we want others to experience the same type of life we have.

That love of life inspires us to share it with the world.

That love of life inspired us to create the Web Designer’s Academy.

So here we are, being happy, making money from home, helping people we haven’t met yet and we are doing it all in a beautiful, warm palm-tree-filled place (Tampa, Florida).

And we love it.

Isn’t it time you loved your life too?

So start learning today… and you’ll get there.

Promise.
